Many have launched Bible applications, Christian books, text prayers, and video clips.

British evangelist Steve Legg is one example. Legg developed a cell phone application for Sorted, the UK's first Christian magazine for men.

londonshoppingYou only have to look around you. The world is full of people who are suffering and in need of help in some sort. You don't have to look far; even here in the United Kingdom, there are many people with needs. In my particular case, I don't need to go far to find a homeless person - begging for some change. Or a drug addict who is desperately trying to get a fix and takes to desperate measures to get it. There are broken families, where parents have separated and children are left hurt and broken. People without hope, without perspective, maybe because they lost their job and only source of income.

When you walk the streets - no matter where you are - you will even find people who look as if they have their lives sorted. They seem happy, carrying shopping bags with famous brands on it. But maybe, deep inside, they are hurting - and find relief in spending money they might not even have.

There are so many people who are leading empty lives - without purpose and destiny, even in Western Europe. They fix their hopes on their bank accounts, careers and the pleasures that life offers. If only they realized that there was more to life than their eyes can see; if only they realized that it is the love of Jesus that will transform their lives, giving hope and a destiny! If only....

Flood-1PESHAWAR, Pakistan – As terrible floods and ongoing heavy rains continue to plague Pakistan, Operation Blessing is working with its longtime disaster relief partner, Humedica, to mobilize emergency medical relief for the many families displaced by the rising waters. 

Already, an estimated 1,100 people have died in the floods. The torrential rains have caused the worst flooding in the country’s history, with numerous rivers jumping their banks and entire towns swept away by the muddy waters. In all, more than 1 million have been affected by the storm.

muyiwaVIRGINIA, BEACH, VA (ANS) -- The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) has announced that it is re-launching its Turning Point show which began in 1977 with the goal of producing an English language program for an African audience.

"The program aired successfully for more than ten years becoming a household name in countries such as Nigeria," Stuart Bennett of CBN International told the ASSIST News Service (ANS). "Its impact can be measured by thousands of letters and e-mails from viewers around the world. But it is probably better judged by the thousands of people who have come to know Jesus Christ through the program."
